For the fourth year running, the Prysmian Group website, world leader in the energy and telecom cables and systems industry, has ranked in the Top 10 of the prestigious Webranking Italy 2018. The research assesses the digital transparency of the 111 largest Italian listed companies. Compared to the previous year, the Group has moved up one place and confirms its position as one of the best performers in the “Industrial Goods and Services” sector. Its presence in the Top 10 ranking again this year shows the importance that Prysmian places on the corporate website as a vehicle of transparent corporate communications — a key asset of the Group’s digital communications ecosystem.

The ranking — carried out by Lundquist in collaboration with Comprend, — has assessed the companies’ ability to meet their stakeholders’ increasing demands in terms of transparency, analysing in particular the state-of-the-art of the digital and corporate communications of the Italian listed companies. Webranking is considered Europe’s leading survey on corporate websites.

The Group has received a special mention in the Webranking research with regards to the videos dedicated to Prysmian’s employees on the website’s career section (www.prysmian.com). The Group is especially commended for moving away from providing a traditional space forjob and training opportunities, and instead creating a real virtual space that goes beyond basic disclosure.

The analysis has highlighted how Prysmian Group’s website represents a best practice example to follow where employees become leading figures speaking about the Company’s identity, in a corporate context where companies rarely show who the people working behind the scenes are. More generally, the analysis highlights a significant improvement in performance for Italian companies, showing how the majority of Italian companies have understood the importance of digital transparency. The study also illustrates how the challenge now is to create a coherent and convincing corporate narrative, describing not only who the company is today, but also its role and vision for the future. “We are proud to have received this remarkable recognition of our website’s quality by such an authoritative source,” stated Lorenzo Caruso, Prysmian Group Corporate & Business Communications Director. “This achievement recognises our commitment to making the Group’s digital portal a clear and effective communication platform to convey our values and messages and continue engaging all our Stakeholders.”
