Alinghi Red Bull Racing: second America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta to start in Jeddah
America’s Cup: the countdown for the second America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has begun.
Just over a month ago, Alinghi Red Bull Racing had set up its temporary base in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for the first time, in view of the second America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta that will start on Thursday, 30 November, at 13:30 local time (11:30 CET) to end on Saturday, 2 December.
Following an absence of over ten years, one of the best-known names in the history of the America’s Cup — Alinghi — officially returns to compete in the oldest trophy in international sport after signing a partnership with Red Bull, one of the world’s leading sports teams. Combining the technical skills, energy and strength of the two partners, Alinghi Red Bull Racing team will sail in Jeddah under the flag of the Société Nautique de Genève for the last preliminary race of the year before the 37th America’s Cup in 2024.
