Meeting the world’s big challenges

We link people to voice, video and data transmission, and are recognised across the globe for our record-breaking technology and information delivery – whenever and wherever it’s required.

Our extensive range of optical fibre and copper cabling solutions link communications with communities on a global scale. Designed to meet every requirement – capacity, high transmission, low interference or electromagnetic capability – our solutions are engineered in line with evolving customer needs. And, we’re a key player in the innovation, improvement and deployment of next generation networks such as hybrid cables, Fibre-to-the-Antenna (FTTA) and 5G. Creating bespoke and market-ready optical fibre, power and hybrid cabling and connectivity solutions to meet the massive network demands of tomorrow.

We are complete solutions providers, with unparalleled attention to detail. From research and design, creation and testing, to installation and post-deployment. Our optical connectivity portfolio enables you to create or manage networks capable of meeting today’s demands and tomorrow’s too.

Our portfolio includes racks, joints, wall boxes, customer termination boxes and pre-connectorised products – including indoor, outdoor, CoEx and high density products.

Our extensive portfolio of pre-connectorised optical cables caters for every environment, available in a wide range of fibre count, fibre types and mechanical constructions and assembly.

Prysmian group is committed to delivering first-class solutions to help define, build and meet the massive network demands of tomorrow.

Existing optical fibre networks are already congested with legacy cable, but installing more ducts can be expensive and time consuming. The new Karona Overblow System is designed to enable the installation of high density optical fibre cable into pre-existing sub-ducted routes, already containing legacy cable.

Data consuming is increasing exponentially and customers are not willing to pay more for more applications where and when a network is moving from current GPON to XGS-PON and NG-PON2.

This plug and play solution, with quick and easy handling and identification, enables convergence and coexistence of multiple services over a common network through a flexible WDM TFF technology, allowing flexibility while saving costs in installation and passive components itself.

If you’re looking for a system that can easily be deployed in an existing duct or sub-duct infrastructure, in settings such as residential areas or greenfield sites, then our direct buried outdoor solution, RetractaNetXS more than meets the challenge.

GO TO PRODUCTS

Prysmian Group's microduct cables offer a step forward in cable miniaturization by boasting world record fibre densities and cable diameters.  Inside this category Prysmian introduces “Sirocco microduct cables” specifically designed for air-blowing installation, they are the ideal component for high-density access networks, FTTx and 5G infrastructure, and are available in fibre counts ranging from 96 to 576.

GO TO PRODUCTS

Fibre To The Antenna (FTTA) concerns the cabling and connectivity equipment used at antenna sites of Mobile Network Operators. This equipment allows to bring power and data to the radio heads. Prysmian Group has engineered first-class hybrid cables, distribution boxes that can be adapted to different scenarios and plug-and-play hybrid drops. These solutions provide stable and flexible electrical and optical connections for both 4G and 5G radio heads.
Furthermore, specialized blowable hybrid cables have been developed to meet needs such as remote powering. This setup allows to bring power and data into one single cabling infrastructure, reusing existing ducts and thereby reducing or eliminating digging completely.
