Prysmian confirms that, as part of the European Commission’s ongoing investigation about the underground and submarine power cables markets, today it has received a Statement of Objections. This document contains the Commission’s preliminary view with respect to alleged anticompetitive behaviour and it does not prejudge the Commission’s final decision.

Since 2009, Prysmian has already been making several disclosures regarding this matter, most recently in its first quarter 2011 results.

Now, Prysmian will be able to access the Commission’s file and, still fully cooperating with the Commission, intends to defend itself in this matter.
