More innovative telecom solutions from Prysmian targeted at the growing Asia Pacific broadband market.

The event is the largest telecoms show this year in Asia Pacific, a region of tremendous growth in the telecoms market driven largely by the rapid uptake of high speed broadband services and with production sites in China , Indonesia and Australia producing both optical and copper cable technologies Prysmian is at the heart of this dynamic marketplace.

Prysmian will be presenting a full range of passive telecom products with the emphasis firmly on the 'last mile' sector of the market. A fully interactive stand will be used to demonstrate a variety of alternative solutions aimed at bringing fibre closer to the end user and will include the latest blowing techniques - for cable and fibre - residential micro trenching of cable, new connectivity hardware and the latest member of Prysmian's portfolio - QUICKDRAW ®. This innovative, patented, pre-connectorized system, fully compatible with most standard connectors has been designed to be installed in the smallest, often crowded ducts typically found in the final meters leading up to, and even inside, the customers' premises.

"Hong Kong is an ideal location to present these new FTTH products" commented Giovanni Battista Scotti, director of Prysmian's global telecom cable and fibre optic business "It is typical of many major locations in the region combining a high population density with a growing demand for better and faster communication services and at Prysmian we are convinced that the solution lies with taking fibre closer to the final user and ultimately to the home."
