the project and its execution, as well
as on product characteristics.
The long-standing partnershipwith
Petrobras will staywithin Prysmian’s
focus, with production of umbilicals
and flexible pipes in the state-of-the-
art plant in Vila Velha, on the Vitoria
Channel in the Espirito Santo State.
Josè Luiz Dacal Castro, formerly
head of the SURF business unit, will
temporarily support the business
handover and the development of
the new initiatives, before taking the
lead of the Brazilian operations of
the Business Unit.
Recently, Petrobras has awarded the
Group a newmajor contract related
to a frame agreement for umbilical
products worth approximately
