With General Cable, Ozmen notes, “we are now able to capture a new product line – submarine telecom – and with the German facility of General Cable, we will have huge support from a production perspective for the long term and for the capacity increase that will be needed”. Around 1,700 applicants from all over the world suggested different names, a dedicated committee examined all the applications and finally chose the one that totally fits the requirement: Leonardo da Vinci.
