14 | Prysmian Group I N S I G H T Just one year after its completion in record time at organisational level, the integration of General Cable has already positively impacted the results of Prysmian Group in the first half of 2019 (see our QUARTERLY OVERVIEW section for more details). Andrea Pirondini, Chief Operating Officer of the Group, reflects on how the widening of our product offer and the optimisation of the supply footprint were successfully managed after the completion of the merger. Pirondini describes the process as “a success beyond expectations, driven by a committed and enthusiastic management, that resulted in a good performance made possible by the operational cooperation among different teams with different competencies”.
