‘MAKE IT’ and ‘SELL IT’ on track again

Prysmian Group is running the new editions of its two recruiting programmes, ‘Make It’ and ‘Sell It’, in their fourth and third years respectively.

ENGINEERS ARE UP TO THE CHALLENGE

Prysmian Group has already received 11,000 applications and hired 150 professionals within ‘Make It’, its 3-year manufacturing programme that gives engineers with 3 to 7 years of experience in similar roles the opportunity to join the world’s leading manufacturer of energy and telecom cables and systems.

Participants will be fully immersed in the business from day one. After a 2 weeks induction in the Milan HQ at the Prysmian Group Academy, with the chance to meet the top managers, and at SDA Bocconi School of Management, the programme includes in the second year another 1 week at the Manufacturing Academy based in Mudanya, Turkey. An advanced training in Mudanya is then planned for the 3d year again, on advanced manufacturing topics. Each participant will work closely with an existing expert in the business, who will support and encourage the candidate through their career path. Over the first 3 years, engineers who are in the factory roles will undertake the LSS (Lean Six Sigma) training, which includes specific project requirements. ‘Make It’ offers the candidates a competitive salary package and the opportunity to learn from highly skilled mentors, expand their knowledge and develop skills within the manufacturing world of Prysmian Group.

COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE

Prysmian Group is on track again to find new candidates eager to join its world class salesforce. For the third year running, the Group is hunting talented sales professionals to enter its ‘Sell It’ career development programme. The main requirements of the programme are: a passion for a career in sales; a high level of competency in the sales area with 3 to 8 years of experience; a solid technical understanding; a dynamic, fast and proactive approach; a background in engineering, chemistry, materials or business; and an interest in the industrial environment.

The three year programme gives participants the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally in a multicultural environment. The training path offers one month of local onboarding, with a deep dive into specific areas, including sales markets and products. After a 2 weeks Group induction inside Prysmian’s Milan HQ and a period within the Prysmian Group Academy, candidates will be able to complete their programme in the Group’s key locations. Another 1 week training in the Darla Moore University, South Carolina, is scheduled for the 2nd year, as well as a 3d step, 1 week again, in Singapore at SMU University for the last step of their training. Starting three years ago, Prysmian Group has already received over 10,000 applications and has 60 professionals hired through the ‘Sell It’ programme.
