Prysmian Group showcases its latest innovations for broadband networks at the ANGA COM trade fair in Cologne from May 30th to June 1st. As world leader and the owner of the only European technology for the production of optical fibre, the company leads the way in the development of ultra-compact optical fibre solutions and supplies the technology needed for a nation wide rollout of optical fibre networks in Germany and Europe.

ANGA COM exhibition is Europe’s leading business platform for the broadband, cable and satellite industry, involving the media landscape. A key discussion at this year’s ANGA COM trade fair will focus on the necessary roll-out of broadband infrastructure in Europe. Bringing the Gigabit Society to life, future technologies such as 5G, IoT or autonomous driving are causing a rocket increase in data traffic.

Prysmian Group is a main driver on the path towards the Gigabit society in Europe. Economic growth and consumer demand depend largely on superfast, gigabit broadband connectivity that is always available. Prysmian is working on creating new, more advanced FTTH technology of the highest quality aimed at reducing the splicing time required. In this way, Prysmian is contributing to fast and cost-effective broadband rollout in Germany and Europe.

At the fair, in addition to mini and micro cable enhancements, the Company highlights fibre density, modular design and connection technology benefits offered by its FlexTube® technology. With 2112 fibres, FlexTube® is the highest fibre count for a flexible micromodule-based cable to be installed to date. It is designed to be extremely compact, light-weight and flexible and also much faster to install, enabling service providers to easily deploy a record number of fibres in difficult or congested areas. Finally, Prysmian also features XSMobile cables for FTTA, BendBright and WideCap optical fibres.

Prysmian Group exhibits at booth 8 / T24 at the ANGA COM trade fair taking in place from May 30th to June 1st 2017 in Cologne.
