Prysmian has delivered over 1500 km of umbilicals over the past 10 years. Since 2014, we have successfully installed umbilical systems for pre-salt fields that are designed to resist severe mechanical and chemical stresses, high operating temperatures and significant pressures.

Our unique capabilities and expertise allow us to provide and develop a full range of cable components incorporated in our umbilical solutions
– from medium voltage cables to optical fibre cables – designed and manufactured to meet the widest variety of application challenges.  We can also supply multifunctional cables, which integrate power and communication, for special applications.

 

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, along with a data bank of high-performance compounds means we can specify a solution that will meet the most demanding requirements and harshest operating conditions.

Our advanced testing laboratories allow us to fulfill any necessary qualification program, including full-scale dynamic testing equipment for our umbilical systems.
