Prysmian Gold Sponsor at the FTTH Council MENA Conference in Beirut

This year’s event, under the theme "FTTH, Connecting the Nation", will highlight the key role of FTTH in building state-of-the-art digital societies as well as the benefits of FTTH deployment for fixed/mobile operators, governments and consumers.

The three-day FTTH Council MENA Conference and Exhibition will include a day of workshops and two days of conference sessions.

Prysmian’s stand will feature the Group’s latest products for the telecom business, with specific focus on the MENA market, and Stephane Albou, Connectivity Business Unit Director at Prysmian Group, will hold a speech at one of the sessions of the Conference, on October 30. In this session with title “FTTH Benefits as infrastructure – Voice of the industry”, panelists will explain how fibre to the buildings and home are crucial to deliver the best of the superfast broadband benefits to end users, residentials and businesses. Fixed and mobile operators are looking for more investments in fibre to support their networks and 5G deployment and ensure continuous benefits beyond the homes.

Another Prysmian Group representative, the Global Telecom Market Intelligence Manager Jan Schindler, will hold his speech in the session “5G by FTTH – The 5G MENA Panorama” right after Albou. The FTTH Council MENA will present FTTH as enabler for 5G based on its latest 5G panorama and studies, specifying what are the operators plans and strategies for combining 5G and FTTH deployment. Furthermore, Schindler will be a moderator during FTTH MENA Market Panorama and Forecast session on October 31.

Prysmian Group’s stand G3 will showcase products and solutions aimed at “MEETING TOMORROW’S DEMANDS TODAY”, to support customers in the realisation of some of their most important projects where quality of products and innovative cabling solutions are fundamental to meet the increasingly demanding needs of modern broadband networks.
