Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cables systems industry, confirms the excellent score reported last year in the ELQ Electrical Components & Equipments of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, following the 2022 annual review.

This year as well Prysmian obtained the highest results (100 points) in Innovation Management, Environmental Reporting and Social Reporting, reaffirming its focus on and attention to these areas.

For Prysmian Group sustainability is a growth and innovation driver, integrated in the priorities of decarbonisation projects, circular economy, product development and digitalisation.

Moreover, Prysmian improved significantly its score in the areas of Corporate Governance, Operational Eco-Efficiency, Human Rights and Labour Practices.

We are very proud of the result of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which testifies to the excellence and quality of our Company, as it is proof of our commitment in constantly improving the sustainability practices of our operations, supply chain and our entire organisation,” stated Maria Cristina Bifulco, Chief Sustainability Officer and Group IR VP. Sustainability is also integrated as a fundamental component of our business growth strategy. We are strongly committed to supporting the transition to renewable energy sources, as well as to a digitalised and decarbonised economy by providing our partners with the most advanced cable technologies for power and telecom networks and infrastructures,” concluded Maria Cristina.

Prysmian was among the first companies that completed the 2022 Dow Jones assessment, reiterating its focus on and ongoing commitment to this area.

In fact, the Group achieves its sustainability objectives by constantly collaborating with its partners. Stakeholder engagement is also a core component of Prysmian’s sustainability strategy.

All the Group’s sustainability priorities are expressed in its Climate Change Ambition — which includes the net-zero carbon emissions targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative in September 2021 — and in the subsequent Social Ambition, the 2030 targets of which concretely contribute to a lasting sustainable development and bring the Group further in line with the UN SDGs.
