Prysmian group is committed to delivering first-class solutions to help define, build and meet the massive network demands of tomorrow. According to Ericsson Mobility Report 2019, it is expected that by 2025 more than half of the world’s population will be connected to the 5G network. This poses new challenges to mobile network operators who will have to undergo a big transformation of their current infrastructure. Due to the technical aspects of 5G technology it will require a high degree of densification of the cell sites.
Prysmian Group has engineered solutions that will help to overcome some of the challenges in the roll-out of 4G and 5G cell sites. These include remote powering for small cells with a minimum footprint by means of a blowable hybrid in a 10 mm duct, custom built, fast deployable and open FTTA platforms, ensuring connectivity interoperability and thereby preventing vendor lock-in. Furthermore, a new range of hybrid and radiating coaxial cables that respectively reduce voltage drop and allow for an extension of the radio coverage.
From the outdoor macro backbone, to the street level and all the way down to the metro – we will keep you connected all the time.
