RACKS and SUBRACKS

OVERVIEW

RACKS AND SUBRACKS

Prysmian Group offers a wide range of solutions for central offices and data centers. Racks compliant with the international 19’’/ETSI/ANSI standards and rack systems consisting of modular vertical pillars are available. Most of subracks are for splicing and patching, patching only, splicing only and patch cord storage and can be equipped with connectorised splitters or with a pre-connectorised cable pigtail.
All subracks are compatible with all connector types, such as SC, LC, MPO, and with other new specialty connectors aimed at increasing fiber density as required by fibre network operators.

RS4000 Rack

The RS4000 Rack is a standard rack with 19’’ mounting rails, used to accommodate a range of SRS4000 shelves and subracks or any other 19’’ rack mounting products. The rack is 900 mm wide and 300 mm deep and is available in the 42U and 47U height. The rack is supplied with side panels and transparent doors. Cable brackets are mounted on the left side of the rack together with a range of cable anchor brackets. Mandrels are provided in the right side of the rack to manage and store patch cords. The maximum capacity.

ODF Flex Rack

The ODF Flex Rack System is a modular rack system to exchange data in telecommunications rooms. The rack system consists of modular vertical pillars and subracks. Each vertical pillar can accommodate up to six subracks, each capable of splicing and patching up to 144 fibres for a total capacity of 864 fibres per vertical pillar. Other pillars can easily be added, when required. Vertical pillars and subracks are available for network cable termination (splice and patch) and equipment cable termination (patch only). Perimeter kits are available to protect the rack from damages by trolleys or other exchange vehicles.

IP Rated ODF

The IP55 19’’ rack is an 800x800x2,000 mm rack (42U) for optical fibre distribution. The rack is able to accommodate a range of distribution equipment including splice and patch shelves and distribution subracks. All racks are fully equipped with a frame, side and rear panels, front and rear doors and a top cover.  The rack can be supplied with either steel doors, or with one steel door and one glass door. Panels and doors have foamed-in-place seals to ensure an IP55 sealing rating. A full range of accessories are available for heat exchange, lighting and cable storage.

SRS 4000

The SRS 4000 distribution subrack is a modular subrack available in a variety of configurations for integration into 19”/ETSI/ANSI racks, street-side cabinets or wall-mounted cabinets. This product consists of a metal chassis available in the 1U, 2U and 3U versions that can accommodated several modules. The module types available are for splicing and patching, patching only, splicing only and patch cord storage and can be equipped with connectorised splitters. This allows users to customise the product for different applications, whilst using the same building blocks in each subrack. The module can be equipped with SC, LC, MPO or other new specialty connectors.

ODF Flex Subrack

These subracks are installed in the ODF Flex rack. Two types of subrack are available for splicing and patching (network) and patching only (equipment). Network subracks are supplied with SC/APC pigtails and adapters. Equipment subracks are equipped with SC/APC adapters. Each subrack contains six module trays, each of which houses two 12-fibre splice trays. Each module tray can accommodate up to 24 fibres and 24 pigtails and adapters. The total capacity of each subrack is 144 fibres, for a total capacity per rack pillar of 864 fibres.

HD Data Panel

The HD Data Panel is a unique fibre distribution panel designed to specifically address high-density fibre installations used in hyperscale and carrier-based fiber networks with industry-leading termination density. It is available in the 1U, 2U and 4U versions with 216 to 864 ports primarily using a CS connector. MPO and other new specialty connectors can also be offered to increase the density as required by the fiber network operators in each market segment.

Pivoting Subracks

The pivoting subracks are available in a variety of configurations for integration into 19”/ETSI/ANSI racks, street-side cabinets or wall-mounted cabinets. It is a robust product with metal chassis and shelves, available in the 1U, 2U, 3U and 4U versions. The module types available are for splicing and patching, patching only, splicing only and patch cord storage and can be equipped with connectorised splitters to ensure the configuration and flexibility required for FTTH network rollout.
