CLOSURES

OVERVIEW

CLOSURES

The XMJ closure family is designed for allowing access to external optical networks and can be used for tracking, spuring and looping applications.
The XMJ closure solutions can accommodate a wide variety of cables such as loose tube, central loose tube, Flextube and blown fibre cables.
A modular tray system is designed for seamlessly managing fibres in Single Circuit Management (SCM) and Single Element Management (SEM). The splice trays
can accommodate several different types of splice protectors and splitters. The XMJ closures can also be equipped with adaptors and pigtails to allow the accommodation of pre-terminated cables.
The XMJ closures have several circular ports and one oval port for mechanical entry. Mechanical glands are used to seal cables into the ports.
The XMJ closures can be mounted using one of the company’s available mounting brackets. They are suitable for direct burial.

Ultra Compact Closure

The Ultra compact closure UMJ is used for splicing optical cables.
The closure base has 4 circular entry ports and an oval port.
UMJ closures are supplied with up to 6 single-element trays, each able to accommodate 12 splices providing a maximum capacity of 72 fibres.
UMJ closures are supplied with up to 6 single- circuit double splice trays, each able to accommodate 2x4 splices providing a maximum capacity of 48 fibres.

C/MMJ

CMJ and MMJ are compact closures for splicing optical cables.
The closures base have 4 circular entry ports and an oval port.
CMJ are supplied with up to 12 single-element trays, each able to accommodate 12 splices providing a maximum capacity of 144 fibres.
CMJ are supplied with up to 12 single-circuit double splice trays, each able to accommodate 2x4 splices providing a maximum capacity of 96 fibres.
MMJ are supplied with up to 24 single-element trays, each able to accommodate 12 splices providing a maximum capacity of 288 fibres.
MMJ are supplied with up to 24 single-circuit double splice trays, each able to accommodate 2x4 splices providing a maximum capacity of 192 fibres.

LMJ

LMJ closures are used for access operations within the external optical networks and can be used for tracking, spuring and looping operations.
They can accommodate a wide variety of cables such as loose tube, central loose tube, Flextube, ribbon and blown fibre cables.
A modular tray system is designed for seamlessly managing fibres in Single Circuit Management (SCM) and Single Element Management (SEM). The splice trays can accommodate several different types of splice protectors and splitters.
The closure base has 10 circular entry ports and an oval port.
LMJ are supplied with up to 112 single-element trays, each able to accommodate 36 splices providing a maximum capacity of 4,032 fibres.

Preconnectorised XMJ

The Pre-connectorised XMJ closure range (CMJ/MMJ) is designed for jointing optical fibre cables. The joint is ideal for use as a final drop solution due to its capacity and compact size. It has a maximum capacity of 72 fibres (MMJ). The connectorised pigtails are factory fitted and each tray can accommodate up to 12 spliced fibres. The single-element tray can also house up to 1x1:8 splitter.
