The 2019 campaign has just ended, and the Plan has now come to its seventh consecutive year. With a global reach in over 30 countries where our Group operates, we observed a continuous increase in participation.
Overall, around 10,000 employees, widespread across all our geographies, have enrolled in the Plan since its inception in 2013. This result is a solid evidence of the sense of belonging to the Group and the trust of the employees in our Company.
In fact, 9,200 colleagues are today sharing successes through shareholding, owning about 1% of the company share capital.
The participation rate this year has been significant, reaching out to nearly 30% of eligible employees: about 5,600 employees invested in YES during 2019 and this resulted in approximately 469,000 shares being purchased or received for no consideration by participants in the Plan.
