Last week Giancarlo Pedote and Erwan Le Roux, aboard the Multi50 FenêtréA-Prysmian, won the Trophée Prince de Bretagne Sud Goëlo. This is considered a key event for Multi50 class vessels: three days of long and short coastal races in the bay of Saint-Brieuc (or Goëlo) on the North coast of Brittany, with departures and arrivals off the port of Saint-Quay-Portrieux.

This is the fifth victory out of five races for the Franco-Italian trimaran since the beginning of the year. The first day of the Trophy ended with a victory for FenêtréA-Prysmian, which won all three races scheduled that day. Fog on the second day prevented a warm breeze from developing with winds less than 5 knots: Multi50 FenêtréA-Prysmian took part in just one race, which it duly won. The final day saw five more races, the first four of which won by Fenêtréa-Prysmian, and the last one by Arkema.

“I’m very happy with this result, reflecting the work done since the beginning of the year – said Giancarlo Pedote. This was the last race before the Transat Jacques Vabre and now it’s time to pause and check any details and implement new aspects of the project before the final event of the year. In the coming months we’ll continue our physical preparation, onboard training and weather studies to arrive at the departure of the Transat Jacques Vabre in the best possible conditions.”
