Tomorrow will start at 13.00 the Pornichet Select 6.50, first solo Atlantic race in 2014, a regatta valid for the Championnat de France "Promotion" de Course au Large en Solitaire.
Giancarlo Pedote will be the only Italian at the start. On board his proto Prysmian ITA 747, he will sail from Pornichet to Pornichet, in a 300 miles course in solo between buoys, cardinal points and islands of Southern Brittany and the Vendée coast.
"After the victory at Lorient-Bretagne Sud Mini 6.50" - declared Giancarlo - I'm happy to sail again in these waters and in this specific path. The Select is a race with a format to sail all in one breath, with little room to sleep. This is why it is an interesting test for single-handed sailing. This edition will be characterized by the presence of very light winds and this means that we must be ever vigilant. Prysmian ITA 747 is ready, and so am I".
