Prysmian and Pedote at the depart of the Lorient Bretagne Sud Mini

Saturday, April 5th at 11.00 am will start the first edition of the Lorient Bretagne Sud Mini 2014, the new regatta organized by Lorient Grand Large , which opens the way to the races in the Atlantic for the Mini 6.50.
It's also the race that marks the beginning of the 2014 season for Giancarlo Pedote which for this occasion will sail aboard ITA 747 Prysmian together with Sébastien Josse , skipper of Edmond de Rothschild Multi 70, which has already sailed with him in 2013.
"I am very happy to begin this new campaign on the Mini 6.50 and to navigate with Sébastien," says Giancarlo. "The last year we raced together the Demi Clé, on a path very similar to this one. After the race we promised each other to come back, and here we are. The boat is back to its perfection, with a new bowsprit and upgrades made by the shipyard AMCO. Tuesday during a training session it reached 15 knots, which onboard a small fireball of 6.50 meters are always a great feeling."
The Lorient Bretagne Sud Mini 2014 takes place over a distance of 115 miles departing from Lorient. It includes the circumnavigation from the south of the islands of Belle- Ile and Groix and the descent towards Pornichet.
It is a technical course (the passage of the Teignouse, the circumnavigation of the Islands and the Plateau du Four) in which there will be two long navigation (the approach and departure from Groix).
