Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The new Emirates Airlines Headquarters has been provided with Prysmian’s fire performance cables.

Over 300km of cables, FP200 Flex and FP400, were supplied for being used in the fire alarm systems in the airline’s modernized impressive nine-storey building, which has two basements and a tunnel leading staff underground directly into the airport.

Prysmian strong presence in the Middle East made the company’s fire performance cables the obvious choice for the project.

Prysmian cables have been chosen for many prestigious developments in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi: to mention a few, fire resistant cables are at the very heart of the most spectacular and complex developments, like Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building ever constructed.

As Antony Vas, purchasing manager for International Electromechanical Services (the company that installed FP cables in the Emirates Airlines Headquarters) confirms “buying cables from a reputable manufacturer and distributor is one of the most important deciding factors when purchasing cables.”  Reliable cables for all fire alarm and emergency systems was absolutely necessary for the development, which took two years to complete. This, however, was not the only reason for choosing Prysmian. Vas also commented on the cables’ ease of use, “the cable was very easy to install and of very good quality he said.
