Prysmian: Calendar of Corporate Events Year 2008

Prysmian S.p.A. announces its financial calendar for 2008.

Prysmian S.p.A. announces its financial calendar for 2008, indicating when the Company’s and/or Group’s accounts will be examined by the Board of Directors:

- March 7, 2008: consolidated financial statements of Prysmian Group, proposed statutory financial statements of Prysmian S.p.A. for the year ended December 31, 2007 and proposed allocation of net income.

- May 14, 2008: report on the first quarter 2008.

- August 27, 2008: half-year report as of June 30, 2008.

- November 12, 2008: report on the third quarter 2008.

Pursuant to Art. 82 of CONSOB Resolution 11971/1999, the Company intends to avail itself of the exemption from publication of quarterly report as of December 31, 2007.
In conjunction with the above Board of Directors meetings, the Company has planned specific meetings with the financial community and the media, during which the Company’s and/or Group’s accounts will be presented.
The General Meeting of Shareholders to pass resolutions regarding approval of the statutory financial statements of Prysmian S.p.A. for the year ended December 31, 2007, and on the allocation of net income, is scheduled for April 14 and 15, 2008, on first and second call, respectively.
The market will be in due time notified of any changes to the above arrangements.
