Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, will showcase its latest innovations for quality, future-proof networks at ANGA COM Trade Fair 2018, taking place June 12-14 in Cologne, Germany.

With 460 exhibitors and 19,000 international business visitors, the ANGA COM Trade Fair is one of Europe’s leading business platforms for the broadband, cable and satellite industry, involving the media landscape. Representatives from broadband, TV & online business will discuss the current and future challenges of connectivity and media, particularly focusing on the roll-out of broadband infrastructure in Europe, necessary to deal with the rocket increase in data traffic that the Gigabit Society and future technologies such as 5G, IoT or autonomous driving will cause.

At its stand in Hall 8 / N11, Prysmian Group will showcase its advanced products to meet the evolving needs of its customers and the telecom cable industry. On show at the company’s stand – where live cable jointing demonstrations will be available throughout the days – will be the FlexTube®, which features 2112 fibres, the highest fibre count for a flexible micromodule-based cable to be installed to date. It is designed to be extremely compact, light-weight and flexible and also much faster to install, enabling service providers to easily deploy record number of fibres in difficult or congested areas.

For the occasion, Prysmian Group will also present to the public its new Telecom Connectivity Catalogue, describing the Group’s extensive range of connectivity solutions designed for versatility, satisfying all cable management needs, whatever the network type.  “With Prysmian Group’s connectivity, every aspect is covered, research and design, creation and testing, installation and post-deployment, and all telecoms cable products are developed with a long life-span and a next-generation market in mind, while being flexible and cost-effective too”, states Stephane Albou, Business Unit Manager Optical Connectivity Solutions at Prysmian Group. “Our customers’ needs are of course at the heart of what we do, and our products are customised to perfectly match these needs”.

Prysmian Group will also actively shape the discussion about the roll-out of broadband infrastructure in Europe by taking part in the “Broadband Day” at this year’s ANGA COM Congress. Jan Schindler, Market Intelligence Manager Telecom Business, will participate in the technology panel “End to End Deployment of FTTH Networks – Technology and Best Practice” (June 14, 2018, 02:30-03:30 p.m., room 2). In his keynote, Jan Schindler will talk about the advancements of latest technology approaches for next generation optical fibre solutions which are key for a future-proof FTTx network in Germany and Europe.
